Fairplay Towage Group has placed an order with Damen Shipyards for the delivery of two further tugboats, one of which is of the ASD Tug 2813 design, the other one being a tug fitted with azimuth stern drives and a bollard pull of 60 tonnes.

The two new azimuth stern drive (ASD) 70-ton bollard pull tugboats will be delivered by Brazilian shipyard Rio Maguari in 2024.

The biofuel being used in this trial is Neste RD, which is being imported to Japan through a contract that Itochu Corporation has signed with the Neste OYJ Group

Three test trials are planned to take place by July.

KM is also supplying full sets of deck machinery for this project.
