The new 42-metre DP2 fast crew boats will support offshore energy support operations in the Caspian Sea, with construction now under way at Baku Shipyard.
Together they will work to accelerate product development, enhance global market reach, and deliver innovative, safe, and high-efficiency energy storage solutions for the global shipping industry.
Currently, three tugs are permanently stationed in Halifax, supplemented by two on-call vessels. The new Rastar 3200 vessels will replace the on-call tugs
The delivered tugboats, all designed by the Canadian Naval Architect Robert Allan, are RAstar 2800 models specifically selected by Svitzer for their efficiency in harbor operations.
Svitzer has signed a 15-year agreement to service Gastrade’s Alexandroupolis Independent Natural Gas System (Alexandroupolis INGS) LNG terminal, the first offshore LNG project in Greece.
