Horizon X is a 130-metre, hydrogen-ready, high-speed catamaran ferry — part of Gotlandsbolaget’s innovative Horizon X programme — and represents the largest vessel ever contracted to Austal.

The Defense Intelligence units are already effectively using the previously donated T12 boats to patrol water areas and conduct special operations, including in temporarily occupied territories.
A key advantage of the new systems is their software-defined architecture, which allows scaling the platforms’ functionality and adapting them to tasks of varying complexity.
It was launched on June 14, 2022. In October-November 2023, it was transported via Russia’s inland waterways to the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg for completion.
