Equinor and Shell have completed a deal to combine their UK offshore oil and gas operations to form a new company. Adura will be the UK North Sea’s largest independent producer.
Equinor has closed the sale of a 40% operated interest in the Peregrino field in Brazil to PRIO. Following this transaction, PRIO assumes full operatorship of the field.
Wildcat well 34/6-9 S ("Avbitertang") was drilled in production licence 554, 35 kilometres northeast of the Snorre field and 125 kilometres west of Florø.
With recoverable reserves exceeding 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe), Bacalhau is the largest international offshore field ever developed by Equinor.
