Höegh Autoliners has welcomed the newbuild pure car and truck carrier Höegh Pacific to its fleet.
The 2,450 CEU vessel is designed as a feeder for routes connecting Central America and the Caribbean with other global markets.
The new PCTC was delivered ahead of schedule following a construction programme involving partners across several companies and countries. Höegh Autoliners said the project demonstrated the importance of close cooperation between the parties involved in the vessel’s construction and delivery.
The Höegh Pacific is intended to strengthen the company’s services on regional routes and support the movement of vehicles between Central America, the Caribbean and international markets.
The vessel was built by CQC and China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI).
Höegh Autoliners described the addition of the vessel as part of its efforts to respond to changing transport requirements and expand its fleet capacity on key regional routes.
