Operatives from Ukraine’s HUR Defense Intelligence struck two Russian military vessels overnight on March 14 — the rail ferry Slavyanin and the cargo vessel Avangard — the agency said.
The Slavyanin ferry was disabled by the strike, while the Avangard sustained damage.
According to HUR, the vessels were key elements of the Kerch ferry crossing and played a key role in Russia’s maritime military logistics. They were used to transport weapons, military equipment and ammunition.
HUR special forces, together with other units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, also struck infrastructure at Port Kavkaz in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
Earlier, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces confirmed strikes by Ukraine’s Defense Forces on Port Kavkaz as well as on the Afipsky refinery in Krasnodar Krai, where explosions were reported overnight.
