According to the Chornomorsk Sea Port Authority, the equipment was supplied free of charge and is intended to strengthen the port’s ability to respond to pollution incidents and protect the marine environment.

Under the supervision of Fleet Service Head Oleh Andrusenko, port personnel conducted trials of a set of equipment designed for rapid environmental response. The package includes an inflatable barge with a capacity of 10 cubic metres, a submersible hydraulic pump and a diesel-powered hydraulic power unit.

“Under the leadership of the head of the fleet service Oleg Andrusenko, the port workers tested a set of modern equipment for rapid response to environmental pollution: an inflatable barge with a capacity of 10 cubic meters, a submersible hydraulic pump and a diesel-powered hydraulic power station,” the Administration said.

The tests were completed successfully and confirmed that the equipment is fully operational and ready for deployment in environmental protection, pollution response and monitoring activities.
