Yang Ming Marine Transport and PSA International have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation on supply chain decarbonisation through joint low-carbon logistics solutions.
The agreement was signed by Yang Ming Chief Logistics Officer and Senior Vice President Ivan Chiang and PSA Group Head of Operations, Technology and Sustainability Eddy Ng, in the presence of Yang Ming President Kevin Lee and PSA Group CEO Ong Kim Pong.
The partnership will combine Yang Ming’s low-carbon shipping initiatives with PSA’s electrified terminal operations to provide customers with integrated sea-and-land emissions reduction solutions.
According to Yang Ming, the company had reduced its carbon intensity by 63.32% by the end of 2025 compared with 2008 levels. Its EcoSea+ service is designed to help customers lower Scope 3 transport emissions through low-carbon shipping options.
PSA said the collaboration supports its strategy of reducing emissions across port and inland logistics operations through integrated supply chain services.
The companies also plan to develop a digital book-and-claim framework and a joint carbon inset solution, aimed at providing cargo owners with transparent and verifiable emissions reduction across maritime and landside transport.
