Research by the International Seafarers' Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN) found that 54% of seafarers report increased workload and 44% report higher stress levels.
Journalists examined crew lists of more than 2,000 vessels that have been sanctioned by the United States and the European Union, as well as those included on the list maintained by Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stated the need to strengthen the counteraction to the Russian tanker fleet, which “uses European jurisdictions.”
