Expanding international river transport has become a key part of Nibulon’s logistics strategy after losing access to Ukraine’s inland waterways following Russia’s full-scale invasion.
The 17-metre Oceanus17 is the largest vessel in the company's Oceanus USV range and represents an enlarged version of the Oceanus12, which was introduced in early 2025.
The partnership focuses on the local construction of advanced naval vessels tailored specifically to Indonesia’s unique geographic and operational demands.
The vessel is the second of two next-generation InTUItion class cruise ships, designed for dual-fuel operation (Liquefied Natural Gas – LNG and Marine Gas Oil – MGO).
The vessel, which will offer itineraries in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe, belongs to the small cruise ship segment and joins Viking’s ocean fleet
The two expedition vessels will be sister ships to “Viking Octantis” and “Viking Polaris”, both built by Fincantieri’s Norwegian subsidiary Vard and delivered in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
