The very first cohort of seafarers to be trained to work on hydrogen powered vessels have been put through their paces on a new course in Orkney, a key milestone of the HyDIME project.

The agreement with Wärtsilä’s distributor in Manila, AWA Marine, will enable cloud-based simulators to be used for navigation, engineering, and liquid cargo handling simulator-based training.
Maritime e-Learning provider Learnmarine together with its strategic partner Maritime.Studio has launched online courses for seafarers working with low-flashpoint fuels covered within the IGF Code.
The primary purpose of this effort is to provide an integrated program that will enable a continuous, multi-domain, Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training platform
It has now become apparent that blended learning has significant advantages over conventional learning. This approach is suitable for both seafarers and companies that intend to send their employees for training.
