Australia's Port of Newcastle has become the first port in NSW approved to safely store grid-scale lithium-ion batteries at its Mayfield Multipurpose Terminal.
The purpose of the project - to reduce CO₂ emissions from pilot boats and promote the development of more environmentally friendly shipping services in the Baltic Sea region.
The SBTi is a global initiative that directly links a company’s carbon emission targets to the Paris Agreement in order to keep the rise in global temperature below 1.5°C.
