On behalf of partners, Equinor has awarded contracts worth around NOK 6 billion for four subsea projects.

The decommissioning project, which will commence during 2026, includes seven platforms and more than 260 wells.

The Hugin B topside has departed Aker Solutions' Verdal yard in Norway for the Yggdrasil offshore development, marking the completion of a series of platform structures delivered for Aker BP's Yggdrasil and Valhall PWP-Fenris projects over the past three and a half years.

The development concept is based on a floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) with subsea tiebacks and broader resource potential across the basin.

The FPSO will have a production capacity of approximately 120,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).

The Cat D rigs are semi-submersible floating rigs, adapted to Norwegian winter conditions and originally built on order from Equinor.

The transaction enables further maturation of the Peon gas discovery. Peon is one of the largest undeveloped gas discoveries on the NCS.

For the offshore campaign, Saipem will deploy a combination of S-Lay and J-Lay vessels, providing the optimal pipeline installation solution.

Designed as an enhanced replica of Coral Sul Coral Norte will add 3.6 MTPA of liquefaction capacity.

Prysmian will design, manufacture and install submarine and land-based cables for "Lot B"

The contract also includes the transportation and installation of 38km of flexible flowlines and jumpers and 54 km of umbilicals.
