Galileo Galilei is dredging the bay’s access channel, increasing its depth from -14 metres tot -16 metres and improving maritime accessibility to the port area.
The project, known as Windbostel Ost and Windbostel West, is a joint venture between RWE and TotalEnergies, with a combined generating capacity of 4 gigawatts (GW).
The offshore installation vessel Les Alizés has already begun installing the 107 monopile foundations, including one for the Offshore Substation (OSS).
The latest series of projects includes the transportation of DEME Offshore’s Apollo from Rotterdam and the transportation of two additional liftboats and a jack-up barge from Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
