MODEC has been awarded an Approval in Principle (AiP) from Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) for a Floating Storage and Injection Unit “LCO₂ FSIU” that is capable to receive, temporarily store and ultimately inject carbon dioxide (CO₂).
MODEC has executed a Co-operation Agreement with Africa Finance Corporation to collaborate on FPSO projects as well as other maritime infrastructure projects in Africa.
If the outcomes of the work considered by the MOU are successful, it would enable post-combustion carbon capture to be offered as a standard offering on future FPSO projects.
