SolarDuck and the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) have been awarded a €3.2 million subsidy from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) for the Steady Seas research programme.
The project forms part of the Philippines' broader effort to expand renewable energy generation and increase the share of renewables in the country's power mix to 35% by 2030 and 50% by 2040.
The focus will be on building an inventory of the data inter-faces between inland navigation operators and European ports, as well as the IT system landscape.
