Fugro has completed a nearshore geotechnical investigation for the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, the world’s longest immersed tunnel that will connect Denmark and Germany by road and rail.
The group consists of representatives from European and international maritime authorities who will collaborate to develop world-class training and competency standards for remote and autonomous vessels.
Fugro has chosen underwater positioning and communications technology from Sonardyne to support its global fleet of uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
In the future, the partnership, in cooperation with OYO, will be able to link various offshore geotechnical investigation results and provide data in a form that meets diverse customer needs.
