Fishing vessels can now take significant steps to prove their operations are ethical and safe thanks to the launch of the new Responsible Fishing Vessel Standard (RFVS) owned by Global Seafood Alliance.
AKVA group were chosen as the supplier for Mowi Scotland’s first 160m pen installation at Loch Seaforth Isle of Harris, 10 pens are now secured on site.
In particular, the study examined how the carbon footprint of tuna was affected by how far from shore fishing fleets operated, or what type of fishing gear they used.
