Maersk has suspended its feeder service to Ukraine’s Chornomorsk Fishing Port until further notice, citing the deteriorating security situation caused by intensified Russian attacks.
The company said it is currently unable to continue operating the service safely under the existing conditions.
The vessel MEDKON MIRA V.629S, carrying import cargo originally scheduled for discharge at Chornomorsk Fishing Port, will instead unload at the Romanian port of Constanța.
In addition, all import shipments destined for Chornomorsk that are currently in Port Said, Egypt, or are expected to arrive there, are also planned to be rerouted to Constanța.
Customers for whom Constanța is not an acceptable discharge port have been advised to submit a Change of Destination (COD) request.
Maersk resumed regular container services to Chornomorsk in June 2024. In October of the same year, the company launched a direct feeder service linking Chornomorsk with Constanța, Romania, and Port Said, Egypt.
