Sydney, Nova Scotia, on Canada’s North Atlantic coast, has been selected by the Canadian Coast Guard as the preferred site for a new deepwater servicing port dedicated to its future fleet of polar icebreakers.
The platforms targeted were the V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin, and Valery Greifer facilities. These sites reportedly supported the Russian invasion forces.
The US Coast Guard and the US military conducted an operation to intercept the oil tanker Marinera, formerly known as Bella‑1 and now flying the Russian flag.
