Ukrainian Navy detains traitor planning Russian attack on Sea Baby and Magura drone bases

Published:

Ukrainian military counterintelligence has arrested a traitor within the Navy who was preparing a Russian attack on the bases of the Sea Baby and Magura naval drones, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) reported.

According to the SSU, the suspect planned to pass coordinates to Russia for a missile strike on the targeted facilities.

The investigation discovered that the agent was a serviceman in a special-purpose unmanned systems brigade of the Ukrainian Navy.

He was gathering and intending to transmit the locations of bases where personnel operating the naval drones are stationed.

In addition, the “mole” was supposed to pass on the coordinates of storage sites for unmanned naval drones and the routes of their movement.

The enemy’s main targets included the SSU and Defense Intelligence naval drones – Sea Baby and Magura – which pose a serious threat to the Russian fleet.

The Russian agent was detained while preparing coordinates for a missile strike. During searches, officers seized a smartphone on which he had been storing classified information and through which he communicated with the enemy’s special services.
