Kongsberg Maritime has signed a contract with VARD shipyard to supply a large package of permanent magnet (PM) thrusters for installation on two new offshore wind farm maintenance vessels.
The double-girder crane systems will be installed in the new production halls in Kiel, which is being developed into an international center of excellence for submarine production.
The technology group Wärtsilä will collaborate with ABS and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (HZS) to develop a flexible, future-proof, and modular LNG Carrier (LNGC) vessel concept.
