The Dreadnought-class submarines will replace the Vanguard-class boats that have been in service since the 1990s. These new submarines will be larger, more stealthy, and significantly more advanced.
Following the christening, the ship will undergo further sea trials, and the final systems will be installed by the Royal Netherlands Navy in Den Helder.
During the dry-docking, in addition to several regular technical maintenance works and upgrades, the vessel’s will have an extensive facelift of the main passenger areas which will receive a brand new and modern interior design.
