The Jill is the sixth vessel in a Rapport 2800 tugboat series designed by Robert Allan Ltd. and the second of two identical vessels designed specifically for Gulf LNG operations.
Work is nearly finished on a four-year project to drill an 11km undersea tunnel between the two biggest of the Faroe Islands, Streymoy and its eastern neighbour, Eysturoy.
