With this first in a series of 12 vessels, Sembcorp Marine will build the world’s first hybrid LNG-fueled tug fleet that will replace its existing diesel-powered tugs.
Sanmar Shipyards has delivered two line-handling pusher crafts to Targe Towing as part of the Scotland-based operator’s ongoing fleet upgrade its vessels servicing the Hound Point oil export terminal on the Firth of Forth.
The client was looking for the latest in tug technology and will operate the vessels on the River Seine in the port between the Ports of Rouen and Honfleur (HAROPA – Port de Rouen).
