Dutch shipping company Future Proof Shipping (FPS) has launched the first hydrogen-powered zero-emissions inland container ship, H2 Barge 1, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
In a first for Swiss marine power company WinGD, its dual-fuel X-DF2.0 engines power two newly delivered car carriers for Japanese ship owner NYK Line.
The agreement is designed to ensure optimal performance of the power systems onboard the company’s new LNG-fuelled ‘A Galeotta’ RoPax vessel, which will sail between Marseille and Corsica in France.
