Offshore wind developer Ørsted says it will reduce its work force by 25 percent by the end of 2027, foreseeing a decline in new construction activities and a need to refocus on markets in Europe and Asia.
The Port of Long Beach was awarded $20 million by the California Energy Commission to fund the ongoing development of Pier Wind, a proposed 400-acre terminal to assemble and deploy floating offshore wind turbines.
