Ledwood Mechanical Engineering, Mainstay Marine Solutions and CELSA Steel UK have been named as the three Welsh companies selected to take part in the first Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme in Wales.
This project will involve three wind turbines producing more than 110 million KwH/year by 2025, which is equivalent to the consumption of 50,000 inhabitants.
The utility-scale tidal powerplant Dragon 12 - rated at 1.2 MW - has been successfully commissioned and, in the early morning of February 9, delivered its first electricity to the national grid in the Faroe Islands.

Taiwanese offshore geophysical and geotechnical investigation company PDE Offshore Corporation have upgraded their underwater acoustic positioning system onboard MV Geo Energy to Sonardyne’s Ranger 2 USBL system.
The combined company is the second largest independent E&P company on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) and the second largest supplier of gas from Norway to Europe.
