An international alliance of 45 companies, knowledge institutes and port authorities, headed by the Port of Rotterdam Authority, has been awarded nearly € 25 million in EU funding.
Aligned with its vision to support sustainable and innovative initiatives, SOHAR Port and Freezone is one of the first ports in the world to have installed a “Light on-Demand” system.
The green ammonia produced at the facility can be utilized by the agricultural sector as green fertilizer and by the shipping industry as a truly sustainable green fuel.
