PSA & ONE Team Up to Enhance Sustainability and Reduce Maritime Environmental Footprint

bp and the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping today signed a partnership agreement committing to a long-term collaboration on the development of new alternative fuels and low carbon solutions for the shipping industry.

The project is a joint effort between Alfa Laval and the fuel cell maker Blue World Technologies, together with DFDS, Maersk Drilling and Hafnia.

Targeted start of operation is early 2023 with an initial ship, which is expected to consume approximately 1,000 kg of hydrogen per day.
