Damen Shipyards Group has developed a new concept for offshore charging, offering a way to dramatically reduce emissions during the operational phase of an offshore wind farm.

The fully electric Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 3210 E represents the next step forward in crew transfer solutions, paving the way to zero emissions transportation of crew and cargo to offshore locations.

The vessels, the first of their kind, have been designed to provide low emission crew transfer services to the offshore wind sector.

The new vessels will feature four highspeed hydrogen dual fuel engines, designed to minimise NOx and CO2 emissions.

These mass deliveries do not take place often as it is rare that so many vessels are ready to be despatched at the same time.
