Özata Shipyard launches electric ferry for Torghatten Nord

Özata Shipyard has successfully carried out the launching operation of NB102 Fløytind, the second vessel in the fully electric ferry series built for Norwegian shipowner Torghatten AS.

Equipped with advanced engineering solutions and environmentally friendly technologies, NB102 Fløytind has been designed to contribute to sustainable maritime transportation.

  • Length: 76.85 meters
  • Beam: 15.50 meters
  • Capacity: 60 vehicles and 202 passengers (including crew)

The ferry is fitted with a dual battery system (2×980 kWh), enabling zero-emission operations. Offering high energy efficiency, the vessel has been developed in line with modern maritime standards.

The launching operation was completed seamlessly.
