EDF Renewables has announced plans to build phase two of the Blyth Offshore Demonstrator (BOD) wind farm off the coast from the Port of Blyth using floating offshore wind technology.
A consortium consisting of ten project partners has received funding from Innovation Fund Denmark for the three-year ‘DecomBlades’ project which seeks to provide basis for commercialization of sustainable techniques for recycling wind turbine blades.
The first turbine at the Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm is in place and will deliver the first fossil-free electricity shortly. It will be the largest offshore wind farm in Denmark.
