After the successful completion of Moray East for Ocean Winds in 2020, DEME has announce dthat it will be back in the Moray Firth installing the foundations for another offshore wind farm in Scotland.
Vattenfall has awarded the export cable contract for the Norfolk Vanguard Offshore Wind Farm in the UK to preferred bidders, DEME Offshore and LS Cable & System.
The design will enable hydrogen production and electricity storage in periods of high-power production and will convert hydrogen to electricity, via a fuel cell, during periods of lower power production.
By 2027 the project aims to annually produce 1 million tons of green ammonia - a hydrogen derivative that is particularly suitable for transport by ship.
