New production vessel will consolidate Búzios as Petrobras' largest producer and serve as a hub for exporting natural gas produced from other units in the field
Saipem will carry out the operations using a variety of construction and support equipment, including the Saipem FDS2 and the Shen Da, which is part of the Saipem fleet as a chartered vessel.
The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has granted consent for start-up of a tie-in from the Troll B platform to the Kvitebjørn gas export line. This will help reduce the decline in gas production in upcoming years.
LNG will be supplied from Woodside’s global portfolio, which may include volumes from the recently approved Louisiana LNG project in the United States.
